Worked perfectly.

I needed this book for my beginning composition class. Though this book is called the short ninth edition, it is exactly the same as the ninth edition, only it is a paperback.

Would entierly recommend this great book!

I needed this book for a class, but was appalled at the price of it. I didn't expect to use it after this quarter so a rental seemed as though it would do just fine. To my surprise even the rental prices were high. There did come a light at the end of my tunnel, and this would be it. I don't have a kindle, so I used the Windows 10 app (which worked perfectly). The writing can seem a bit boring and tedious at times, but it is definitely helpful.

Purchased USED... Excellent Choice.

I previously owned this book in 2009 while taking English Comp 1. Over the years it was either sold back or lost in multiple moves. Despite my English Comp 2 teacher requiring the newest edition, I was stretched on budget at this time and found the seven dollars for this book was far more economical than 70 or more for a new one. My teacher placed the page numbers for both editions in all assignments and they were nearly the same with maybe a three or four page difference.
This is a no brainer to anybody requring the new edition. Flip back or forward a few pages from what the new addition pages are supposed to be and your wallet will be very happy.
(My used book came in excellent condition as well.)
