A must for any one who reads or studies the New Teastament in English .

This is not a sturdy guide per se , rather it is truths to keep in mind as you read the Bible . It is clearly written and con even be devotional . Remember William Tyndale translated for the first time in history the New Testament from the original Greek into English . He then published in it pock size a such a low cost for a book in 1526 that for only a weeks wages of a skilled brick layer you could buy it . Note : 80% of the KJV is directly taken from his 1526 edition . This brief introduction to studying the NT is published in modern spelling is VERY readable and like all Truth it is still true today . It was a blessing to read and you too will be blessed by reading and taking it to heart . W. Tyndale's mind was immersed in scripture and guides what he has to say . This is from the Kindle version I paid .99 cents for . A great work by the single greatest English Bible translator in the history of the world . All English translations owe a great debt to his labors . You can buy a facsimile of the 1526 pocket NT . This is a beautifully done photo copy of one of only three known surviving complete NT .

Awesome inspired writing about scripture by a man who was strong in Christ.

This is an amazing book, written by an amazing man. I am not through with it, but I love that it was the original prologue to his translation of the Holy Bible, so that it shows his love for Christians who he imagined may be reading the Bible for the very first time. His discussion of the relation between the law and the promises for those saved by Christ is absolutely essential understanding to avoid the errors of lawlessness (cheap grace, easy believism, or properly called "antinomianism") and the errors of legalism. (by the way, I really do agree with Sinclair Ferguson that these 2 seemingly opposite errors are in fact related or spring from the same error. Here's a quote from his book "The Whole Christ": “Although in one sense antinomianism is the ‘opposite’ error from legalism, in another sense it’s the ‘equal’ error, for it similarly abstracts God’s law from God’s person and character (which undergoes no change from old to new covenant). It fails to appreciate that the law that condemns us for our sins was given to teach us how not to sin.” (141). )

"In all my deeds I must have the law before me, to condemn mine unperfectness. For all that I do (be I never so perfect) is yet damnable sin, when it is compared to the law, which requireth the ground and bottom of mine heart. I must therefore have always the law in my sight, that I may be meek in the spirit, and give God all the laud and praise, ascribing to him all righteousness, and to myself all unrighteousness and sin. I must also have the promises before mine eyes, that I despair not; in which promises I see the mercy, favour, and good-will of God upon me in the blood of his Son Christ, which hath made satisfaction for mine unperfectness, and fulfilled for me that which I could not do."
WOW!!!!
I recommend not reading this sitting down, but walking around somewhere lovely like the park in the early morning. I read it aloud and stalk around the park, full of such light and encouragement. Highly recommended book, and I love to read this on my kindle especially. It's so easy to hold it and walk around. Get exercise spiritually and physically at the same time. God will be with you in that, if you can do that. God bless.
