Well crafted book and system for trading stocks!

This is a excellent book. Morgan has not only clearly described how to gain an edge in choosing stocks and setting entry and exit points, but has also covered both the quantitative (expected value, odds of success, compounding) and emotional (fear, greed, discipline) contexts that all traders must grapple with.
Morgan's system shows how to choose stocks. This is much better than following a subscription newsletter's picks, where the high-paying subscribers get them first, the low payers next, the free readers get it last and by then the stock is so worked over that if it did have potential, it's gone. Spec-K has ample charts showing desirable patterns as well as what to avoid. Once the stock is chosen, entry and exits are described fully, meaning the system is mechanical and emotions are less likely to sabotage discipline.
As Mark Douglas, the author of The Disciplined Trader, has said (paraphrasing), any trader can make money by 1) having an edge and 2) following it. No system, including Spec-K can guarantee you'll make money, but it gives you all the tools you need to succeed.

A Complete Trading System

I highly recommend The Spec-K Trading System Book. I have personally paper traded and traded the system live with excellent results.
The book is very well written and is thorough in the description of the trading system details. You can judge for yourself by reviewing
the table of contents which provide the reader with a hint of the quality of the content inside the book.
I believe the Spec-K Trading System will help improve your trading skills. You will learn how to pick high quality stocks for your watchlist.
The profit and loss targets are mechanical, so you are not left to guess the appropriate time to sell.
I have asked the author several questions and he has promptly responded. So, the author is there to provide help, if needed.
Overall, you owe it to yourself to purchase this book if you are interested in a complete trading system.

While not perfect, I've still given this five stars

While not perfect, I've still given this five stars. Why? It is an insightful analysis of trading, and even if the reader chooses to not trade by the Spec-K system the information is valuable. Are you trading in a haphazard fashion? Are you responding to trading results in a way that will help, or hurt? Until you figure out some of the basics, success or failure will be a matter of luck.
That said, the Spec-K system is working for me. I wish I'd paper-traded it slightly longer before "going live" but mostly because I would have missed the worst days for the market in a very long time. Even so, I have no complaints. Spec-K does not eliminate work. Anything that promises profit with no work is a lie. You'll still need to put in effort, and this book provides valuable tools to allow that effort to pay off.
